Learning to Decipher the Good from the Bad
Today I was talking to a close friend about how she’s finally dating an honest-to-goodness GOOD guy, and all her worries and reliefs about it. For the past year or two, she has only dated men that treated her badly, used her, and threw her away when they wanted new meat.
Because every guy was, in essence, a “bad guy”, it was hard for her to know when a good one came along. This seems to be a common problem with women; we become so used to men that hurt us, that we can’t allow ourselves to believe that our current one won’t. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that you can’t know. You have to go with your gut feeling and trust your own instincts. While many of us have been hurt multiple times in the past, not every parter we have will do the same. Keep faith, the good ones are out there.
